Jodi DiPiazza is currently an 18 year old 12th grade student at the Mannes College of Music Preparatory Division and the Newmark High School. She studies Composition, Piano, Voice, Conducting and Music Theory. She was accepted into the Mannes composition honors at age ten. She also studies Jazz piano, guitar and songwriting and plays clarinet in the orchestra. October 2012, Jodi performed a duet with Katy Perry on “The Night of Too Many Stars” at NYC’s Beacon Theatre. Televised on Comedy Central, more than $4,000,000 was raised for autism education. An internet sensation, this performance received so much media and attention that Jodi has been featured in newspapers, magazines, on the radio, and television all over the world. She has received thousands of emails, letters and cards, speaking of the hope and inspiration this performance has given to parents of children with autism, and since then she has appeared at over 100 charitable events advocating and raising money for children and adults with disabilities. Jodi was diagnosed with autism at the age of two. In her spare time Jodi enjoys advocating for autism, writing stories, drawing, and playing in the school band and chorus.
