Circle Haven's mission

What makes Circle Haven's mission so special? The creation of a very special place, staffed by very special professionals, where choice and person centered planning drive all we do.
  • A lifelong home: the Circle Haven Board of Directors of has determined that RESPECT is an essential foundation for achieving a successful independent life— respect for the specific needs and desires of each resident; respect for the direct support professionals entrusted with assisting our residents; respect for the greater community in which we live; and respect for the families who support and continue to be a loving part of the residents’ lives. The circle of respect is the foundation of who we are, and the heart of what we do.
  • With your help, our projects will create debt-free communities that will provide state of the art, permanent, affordable and supportive housing for adults with a range of disabilities, from those individuals who can live independently to those with extensive support needs.
  • Circle Haven is available to provide person-centered support based upon the unique needs and choices of each resident. This consumer driven model satisfies all applicable federal and state regulations. By treating direct support professionals as PROFESSIONALS— in training, in pay and with due respect for their service— Circle Haven is committed to enhancing the lives of all who live and work in our community.
Living “in” the greater community hasn’t always meant being a real part of that community. Circle Haven seeks to change that, with amenities designed to encourage meaningful and supportive interaction between friends, peers and neighbors. Residents and friends can gather as they choose to share meals, enjoy a game or a movie, or have companionship and conversation in the large lobbies, multi purpose areas, or off site in the greater community. For those seeking a moment of quiet, special nooks and crannies will be constructed in parts of the common areas. Residents can be supported as needed in employment or other activities in the larger community, through regularly planned community events, as well as on their own.
Wellness initiatives are an important part of the plan. Greenhouses promote healthy eating, and recreation on site (walking trails, basketball court, a seasonal splash pad, fitness room) promote healthy bodies. And for residents who choose, aging in place will be accommodated and honored. Technology will further support the well being of all residents, including (for example) the option for integration of medical records and behavioral supports where desired.
